May 29, Brandon rated it it was amazing. Legendary Farmall Tractors is probably the most accurate and thought out book about my favorite brand of tractors. Lee Klancher and Randy Leffingwell work very well with each other on the information part of the history and the photos are helpful in more ways than one especially on the original tractor to help people that are restoring them. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a farm tractor history on one of the big brands of the time and still today.

The book starts out in a ti Legendary Farmall Tractors is probably the most accurate and thought out book about my favorite brand of tractors. The book starts out in a timeline fashion beginning from the first tractor offered by IHC in , which was called the McCormick Auto Mower. Then the book gets into the Titan series of tractors which were the biggest and had the most horsepower of their time.
Now is where it turns into all Farmall or McCormick Farmall starting with the Farmall Regular in and were made until , only after building and selling , of them. The Regular was deemed the first real tractor to replace the horse. During this period in time came many advances in technology which are still readily used on the farm today. The book then transforms into the crawlers which were basically just tractors with tracks that could pull more, were slower and were used in more of an industrial setting. The book then hits the late sixties and early seventies and zooms to present day with just some of the very common and history making tractors of the day.
